LA MESA —  A body found in La Mesa early this year was identified Saturday as that of a 17-year-old girl who went missing from El Cajon, police said. Her death was fentanyl-related, La Mesa police Lt. Katy Lynch said, and no foul play is suspected. The Medical Examiner's Office had been working the case since March 13 when the girl's body was discovered behind a business on El Cajon Boulevard near Baltimore Drive, Lynch said. No identification was found on the teen or among her belongings, and she appeared to have been deceased for some time.
