San Diego's industrial center of Otay Mesa is set to expand by an additional 136 acres as the border region continues to grow as a commerce hub. Two separate announcements were made Monday concerning future developments that are taking advantage of increased of goods coming across the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, as well as infrastructure improvements near — and surrounding — the U.S.-Mexico border. Developers of the more than $100 million Landmark at Otay project said Monday it would expand by 17 acres and had signed a long-term lease.
